We do not have fixed roles within our unit, this allows people to select what role they play on a mission-by-mission basis. We feel that this adds the most variety and keeps people engaged by ensuring that they are not doing the same thing all the time. Of course, if you excel in a particular position, or really enjoy it, then you can opt to perform that role more frequently.
Rank Structure & Progression
We have a number of different ranks in order to give people a sense of progression, you can see details about each of the ranks below

|Recruit||This is the starting rank for the unit. This means that you are yet to complete your Phase One training. You are allowed to attend operations as a recruit, but you must complete a Phase One course at some point||None||None|
|Private||This rank indicates that you have now completed your Phase One basic training course, and are familiar with the basic operation of the unit, and your responsibilitiy within it.||None||Phase One|
|Private First Class||Once you have been in the unit for a while, and have attended a number of operations, you will automatically be promoted to this rank. This is a recognition of your commitment to the community.||Minimum 6 operations||None|
|Lance Corporal||This is the most junior leadership rank available. You might be expected to lead a fireteam, and you should be capable of leading a section in the event that your section commander goes down. This rank, and all of those above, carry additional out-of-game responsibilities with regards to managing the community.||Minimum 6 operations||Section Leadership course|
|Corporal||Upon reaching this rank, you are now expected to be able to lead an 8 man section consisting of at least two fireteams.||Minimum 24 operations|
12 of which must be as a fireteam leader (or above)
|Sergeant||Members of this rank could be asked to perform as part of a platoon command element, either as a platoon commander, or a platoon 2IC||Minimum 52 operations|
20 of which must be as a section commander or above
|Platoon Leadership Course|
|Staff Sergeant||This is the most Senior NCO rank available. While this carries no further responsibilities than that of Sergeant, it is in recognition of time spent in the unit.||Minimum 78 operations|
10 of which must be as a platoon 2IC or above.
